A Very Merry Christmas Weekend

This weekend, Ryan's sister Pat, who lives in Florida, is in town visiting for a few days so we are trying to fit in as much family fun holiday time as possible. Saturday morning, we started by attending the Christmas Carnival at Chestnut Ridge Park. We drank hot chocolate, nibbled cookies, colored Christmas pictures, tried every bribe on the planet to get Leah to sit with Santa (with no success) and took a very frigid hayride!

Santa Leah and Aunt Linda Elf:

Daddy and his Little Girl:

Grandma Virginia, Aunt Pat, Aunt Linda and Leah:
(Yes, Leah is wearing one pink glove and one purple glove!)

Next on the agenda? A trip to the Botanical Gardens. This time of year they display more poinsettia plants than you have ever seen in one place!

Leah has started "hiding" when I take the camera out:

There was also a model train running through the plants...it was set up as a wild west town:
Some manicured plants:

And the most AMAZING orchids:

In the "Main Dome" of the Gardens they also had a Christmas Light Show set to music...we were all feeling VERY Christmasy! After the gardens we ate a complete turkey dinner lovingly prepared by Virginia.

All in all, another Norman Rockwell day!
